For sale is this antique Atha 8lb. sledge hammer head. Signed "Atha" with the famous "A" within the horseshoe, a circled "8", and "Made In U.S.A.", it measures 6-1/4" long with  excellent 2-1/8" octagonal faces, with a 1-1/16" X 1-1/4" oval eye. {remnants of the old handle remain as pictured} It is in excellent condition as pictured.  Atha stopped manufacturing under this name in 1914, making this hammer over 100 years old.
