 Antique Georgian Hair Needlework Picture c1800

Dating to circa 1800 and measuring 62 x 82 and 12.5" x 14.5" including its original black glass and gilt oval frame, this is a rare hair needlework on silk picture depicting ships in harbour. Traditionally and by repute, ladies would use their own hair to embroider with, though the rigging on the ships looks to me to be silk thread. It has a split in the sky but is otherwise in good order and the frame has some old splits but... is sound overall.
