A slim book, an early treatise on how to use and draw up maps, which is very scarce. COPAC lists only one example of this edition, at the British Library.
Some very strange pagination but I think the text is complete with 56 pages. It includes an interesting section on which country owns what at the back.
Condition ReportIn later but old marbled covers with leather spine (a pencil note at the back suggests this is a Thompson binding). Covers a little bumped, with a little wear on the spine but all holding. Later endpapers (laid paper with some age), the original book text starting with the title page. Some very strange pagination towards the back but I think the text is complete. A pencil note at the front suggests the copy lacks a folding world map and a plate on page 32 which I believe relates to a later edition. 16 x 10cm.
