Scarce vintage employee badge from Jackson Mills/Jackson Manufacturing Company, Nashua, New Hampshire, circa 1910s -1920s, nickel-plated metal in slightly convex oval form with soldered pinback, the front reading "Jackson Mills Employee, 581, " 2-1/4" wide, the back marked "John Robbins Mfg. Co., Boston, Mass." A touch of subtle surface wear, otherwise fine, attractive condition.Jackson Mills, a cotton mill in Nashua, New Hampshire, had roots extending back to the 1820s. Over a period ...of decades the company constructed a series of dams in the Nashua River, east of the Main Street Bridge, which remained in use into the twentieth century.
