VOGUE 1953 WANDA 40, Tiny Miss Series Strung 7 1/2 " Ginny Doll MIB - Tosca Braids

Up for Auction is a Vogue 1953 Hard Plastic, Painted Lash, Strung, sleep eye 7 1/2 inch Ginny Doll called WANDA. She is from the Tiny Miss Series and is wearing white cotton dress with a yellow flower print and ribbon-laced trim and gathered eyelet on sleeves. She has matching cotton print undies, a yellow straw hat with matching velvet trim ribbon on the hat and the dress. The yellow print on the dress varied. Ginny has on vintage yellow rayon socks and bl...ack shiny leatherette shoes with fuzzy soles. Ginny's body has no marks and she is strung nicely.
Ginny's coloring is absolutely beautiful!!! Her eyes are a grayish blue and her eyelashes and eyebrows have a color that coordinates with her hair well. She has medium red lips and bright high color cheeks with no rubs. Her hair is a Tosca Brown, soft light reddish brown, in braids. The box says "undressed braid. T". The T stands for Tosca. I believe many dolls were purchased undressed and then an outfit chosen, that is why I believe she came in this box. She does have a navy blue and silver tag on her wrist. This is a real find for the Ginny Doll Collector. The wooden stand does not come with the auction. There is a picture of the Wanda Doll in the last frame from Judith Izen and Carol Stover Collector's Encyclopedia of VOGUE DOLLS second edition, purple book, page 117.
The doll is Mint in Original Box. The box however has some slight damage. There is a tiny rip and bend at the bottom of the box above the label. Please see pictures. There are two other slight knicks, one at the bottom corner of the lid and one at the top edge of the lid. Otherwise the box. is sturdy with good color. Pretty nice though for being almost 70 years old!!!!
