This listing is for a simply gorgeous 1957 Cissette in a fantastic outfit. The outfit is a rare variation of #924 which features a red felt skirt with gold elastic waistband and a white rose trim. It also includes the white organdy blouse with rhinestone "buttons" fitted closely to Cissette's figure with bodice darts, and trimmed in val lace down the front, at the armholes, and at the neck. It is shown in Merod's "Cissette" book on p. 47. The author believes that this combination... might have been a store special and was too labor-intensive for the regular line. The outfit is in excellent condition with no holes in the felt skirt, good elastic waistband that shows a minimal amount of stretch, and stunning white blouse with no flaws. Under her skirt she wears a good condition taffeta slip and matching panties, hose, and darling replacement shoes that look perfect with this outfit. The doll is stunning! She has a beautiful triple stitch red wig in original set that is so pretty. Her facial coloring is all original and vibrant. She has that special look and coloring that makes you say "wow". Cissette has beautiful original pearl earrings that complement this wonderful outfit. Her body is in excellent condition with no splits, stains, or cracks. All in all a fantastic doll to add to your collection! Please take a look at my other vintage doll items this week, too.
