21 " Early Pouty Closed Mouth Kestner Antique Bisque Doll Kid Body Glass Eyes

This is an antique 21" bisque shoulder head pouty closed mouth doll most likely made by Kestner in Germany.Their early dolls were marked only by a number, and this one is marked 8 on two areas of the head. The head is stuffed with old shredded newspaper, which keeps the eyes from "sleeping" - I prefer to leave this paper there for shipping purposes. Beautifully painted and molded face.
Kid body and legs, bisque arms and hands.The doll comes with clothes, not sure if they are origina...l, but the most inner undergarments are tight and wrapped to the body, you'd have to damage them to remove them so we are leaving them on. Includes a bonnet and outer dress, no shoes.Seems to be the original mohair or human hair wig, you be the judge.
Offered AS IS - needs some TLC. Please look at photos, and please ask any questions before bidding. No returns. Both hands are chipped and missing fingers. There is a separation on one knee where the sawdust stuffing is leaking out. Hair needs styling, wig comes completely away from the head and needs re-gluing. Needs cleaning, clothing is yellowed with tears. stains, shredding, an old safety pin is holding an undergarment closed. Overall aging, handling, wear.
