RARE ANTIQUE BAHR & PROSCHILD 678 CHARACTER BABYThis is a gorgeous hard to find character baby made by Bahr & Proschild and is clearly incised on the back of the head with 678, 7, BP (in heart), Made in Germany. She measures in length approximately 16".She has a bisque socket head free from any damage and an open mouth with 2 upper teeth and a red tongue behind. She has her original blue glass sleeping eyes with her eyelid wax intact but most of her eyelashes h...ave long gone. Her upper and lower eyelashes are delicately stroked and she has multi stroked eyebrows. She has a short blonde wig that appears to be made from human hair.Her antique body is a 5 piece bent limbed baby body that appears to have an old re-paint to it done long before I owned her and I have had her for over 20 years. Body has minor wear only.She comes wearing vintage clothing consisting of a matching cotton white bonnet and frock trimmed with lace, as well as a petticoat, pants and crocheted bootees.An adorable, hard to find character baby.Please email me if you have any further questions and please examine the photos. Her wig and pate have been removed to stuff the head to protect the eyes in transit. It is an easy process to re-attach with wood glue.
