Vintage Rookwood Pottery Scenic Vellum Vase #937 Fred Rothenbusch 1911This is a beautiful Rookwood Pottery hand painted scenic vellum vase dated 1911. Shape is #937 blank with gorgeous vista by Fred Rothenbusch, incised mark on base, backwards ‘F’ with joined ‘R’. Date stamp ‘XI’ indicates manufacture in 1911. Item measures 10” tall x 4 ½” wide. It is in excellent vintage used condition with no chips. However, there are three lines emanating from a central point o...n the inside area (see pics). Each measures approximately 2 ½”, 2 ½” & 1”. The lines are only visible on the inside and not on the outside (see pics). Also, as can be seen in the photos, there is heavy crazing. Inside has thick layer of calcium build up from years of use, mainly around the top opening. This piece is gorgeous! Please ask any questions BEFORE bidding.
