Here for your collecting or holiday gifting pleasure is is a gorgeous pin from modernist artisan Mary Kanda. The pin has subtle and varying levels of sheen and sparkle that I was unable to capture with my camera so the photos don't do the pin justice. It is a heavy brooch with two stick pins with caps for attaching to your clothing. Mary Kanda worked actively as an artisan during the late 1970's to approximately 2013. Ms. Kanda passed away in 2014. Her unique and modernist jewelry desi...gn is highly sought after and this mosaic style of jewelry was developed during toward the end of her 30 year period in Santa Fe, NM. It is in perfect condition could use a light cleaning. Every piece of glass crystal is firmly in place. There are five colors and shapes that complete the mosaic design which shimmer and shine, gleaming subtly with the light. The silver setting is slightly domed to give the leaf a life like look.
