Click images to enlarge Description This listing is for a Set of DOG Salt & Pepper Shakers by Royal Copenhagen Faience Signed and made in Denmark. This appears to be a rare set in a Staffordshire Style. They have a white porcelain base with blue markings. "Royal Copenhagen Denmark", 3 waves (the known logo) and Fajance are on the bottom. In Blue are what looks like the artist initials DM for Doreen Middleboe, and 353/3704 on the Pepper and 353/3705 on the Salt. The numbers 3704 and 3705 are also impressed in each bottom. They stand approximately 4" tall. These are mirror images, they both have a collar with "S" (salt) and "P" (pepper) on the front.This Adorable Set was previously owned and displayed, may have been used but I did not remove the Original Stoppers to check. They are in GREAT condition, and have been well cared for. Recently acquired from a private local client who is downsizing. I do not know the history of this great set. I think they date from 1969-1974 per markings. In 1969 the Aluminia name was changed to Royal Copenhagen Denmark with the three wavy lines and the word Fajance (Faience). I do not find any chips, crazing, cracks or repairs.
