Antique Red Transferware Nursery Cup & Saucer in the Nursery Rhymes pattern made by Whittaker & co. In Handley, England in the Staffordshire District of England in 1888. Features “Old Mother Hubbard”, “ The Farmer’s Wife, ” and “There was a little man and he had a little gun., .” Condition is very good. No cracks, chips, or repairs but there are a couple minor rough spots on the rim you can see in the last picture above the handle and straight across on the other ...side. There are some bubbles in the glaze to the right of mother hubbard’s dog that see original to the making of the piece. See the pictures to get a look. The saucer is 5” in diameter. The cup is 3.5” from rim to handle and 2” tall. This is a really nice set in a fairly scarce pattern in red. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
