For auction with NO RESERVE is my 1983 BMW R 100 RS. I hateto part with it but I have recently retired and have moved to a smaller placein the mountains of North Carolina. The machine is still in the Daytona Beach, Florida area currently. I have ten BMW bikes and six cars and must consolidatedown to a two-car garage. This machine is in great condition and has only13, 938 original miles. I am the third owner. The original ownerpurchased the bike in Southern California, and within a year... sold it to afriend. That friend was a nice young woman who owned the bike from that point forwarduntil I purchased it from her. She moved to Idaho and rode the bike mostlyregionally. She ended up having a family and life happened and she rode it verylittle. Her husband is in the automotive business, so she kept it in aclimate-controlled shop for several years only starting it several times peryear. She began to experience health issues and could no longer ride. The bikecomes with a set of BMW Krauser bags and tool kit. She had the wheels paintedthe Bavarian blue when she purchased it and I never did find time to have themresprayed silver which I planned to do when I put on fresh tires. The tires onit now have plenty of tread life but are old and I would recommend replacingthem. They are remarkably free from age cracking, however. The bike is likelyone of the lowest original mileage RSs available today. The voltmeter and clockin the dash work fine as does everything else.
