From a collection in Tewksbury, Ma., here is a really nice old blue and white plate depicting a deer or stag with some birds overhead and a river. It was made by William Brownfield & Son, measures 9.5" in diameter, and was made in 1875 as is shown on the base by the code in the diamond shaped British registry mark. The pattern or series was called "Sylvan, " which I believe means "from the woods." The plate has no chips or cracks. There is some glaze crazing... and some light discoloration and wear. Please see the photos for the best representation of the condition. A nice addition to your collection. Winner to pay $12 for shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Thanks for stopping by!
