This vintage Masonic penny token is from the Jericho Chapter No. 11 R. A. M. in Miami, Florida. One side has the chapter information, with the words ONE PENNY in the center. The other side has images of a chisel, maul, and ornate keystone, in the center of which is the brother's engraved 'mark' - a radiant, faceted diamond. This Masonic penny is composed of either brass or copper, and it was made with a gilt surface treatment that mostly remains, provid...ing a nice light gold color that is not evident in the photos. The diameter is approximately 31 mm (nearly 1-1/4").This item is in very fine condition, with light actual wear, toning, and some soiling, and it remains very bright (very light-reflective), with a very good gold color. The 'mark' is clear.The illustrations in this listing are photos of the actual item being offered for sale, serving as part of the description. NOTE: The photos are not good at all. The actual token is lighter in color (with a very good light gold color), is much brighter (highly reflective), and is much more attractive than evident in the photos.
