KOSTA BODA, Kjell Engman, Designer - 6" Catwalk Glass Man Sculpture - 'Poncho'
We are pleased to offer from our personal collection, this Kosta Boda glass sculpture, designed by renown artist, Kjell Engman (b. 1946). The glass sculpture that we are presenting for your consideration is known as "Poncho" from the Catwalk series. Its model number is 7090555. A beautiful textured glass sculpture of two colors - yellow and dark green. The glass sculpture retains its original label t...hat reads "KOSTA BODA / Sweden 1742" on the lower front side. There is also an inscribed signature on the polished bottom surface that reads "Kosta Boda / K. Engman / 709055". The glass sculpture has only been in our display cabinet since ownership and appears in "Like New" condition.
Kjell Engman is one of Sweden's leading glass artists of the 20th and 21st century. After his art studies at "Konstfack" in Stockholm, he has worked for the Kosta Boda glassworks for more than 40 years. Mr. Engman became a prominent designer of glass vases, bowls and sculptures with kitschy and humorous expressions. His artistry is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design. Mr. Engman has designed many classics for the Swedish glasswork in Kosta. One of the most well known series is Catwalk from 2004. It consists of art glass sculptures and vases. They have motifs from the fashion world, with curvy shapes and a multitude of colors. The Catwalk series was in production until 2015.

Measurements: The glass sculpture stands approximately 6 inches in height. It is about 3 inches wide and 2 inches deep. This piece weighs approximately 14.4 oz. All measurements are approximate, but close.
Condition: We carefully examined this item. NO Chips, Cracks, Nicks, Scratches, Stains, Repairs or Restorations were noted. The polished bottom does have some very faint scratches from display, but nothing deep or distracting. It appears in "Like New" condition and is exactly as we purchased it. The original box was discarded. Please take the time to carefully examine all the photographs for more details. Contact seller with any questions or if your require additional photographs.
