Here is a very rare Cherry Red 1968 Epiphone El Dorado guitar Model FT 90. It was made at the Gibson Kalamazoo factory and features a solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides and bound rosewood fretboard. The El Dorado was in production from 1963-1970 and was Epiphone's version of the Gibson Country-Western and Gibson Hummingbird models. While the FT 90 was one of the nicer Epiphone acoustics of the 1960's, it tends to be a relatively unknown ...and overlooked model and not given credit for it's quality of manufacture and great playability. Overall this instrument is in very good condition. I believe it to be all original. In April, I had my luthier do a neck reset and complete set-up so it plays and sounds great. As a 50 + year old guitar, it does come with some dings and scratches and signs of play. Note that there is one repaired crack to the back of the headstock that has been solidly repaired and does not affect playability. Also, the pick guard has a clean crack straight across the middle. I've tried to show these issues in the photos. There is a pickup wire inside that I have not removed and will leave that to the next owner. The hard case is included in this sale. All latches work perfectly and there are no funky odors. I realize that this is an investment on the part of the buyer so I'll make this a risk free transaction.
