Wow... An absolutely stunning set of 19th Century Drawers, there are a total of 30 separate drawers each with dovetailed joints and brass handles. Likely made from mahogany or a similar hardwood. The drawers were likely used by a watchmaker or similar, there are still tiny screws inside. Some of the drawers have sections made from plywood which would have been added later in its life. The rear of the cabinet also looks like a later addition, probably an old repair. It is also possible th...at this was originally used by an apothecary or chemist to store medical ingredients. The fronts of the drawers are showing pin marks, probably from labels being attached.Exact age is unknown but it is old! Could even be late Georgian.Overall the drawers are in great condition, still solid and all the drawers are intact. Obviously it is showing age related wear from years of use, this in my opinion adds to its charm. The set measures 50cm high and 43cm wide. A very useful and stand out piece of furniture that will not take up much space. Great for a collector or would make a fantastic jewellery box.
