21 " Antique Bisque Turned Shoulder Head German Alt Beck Gottschalk ABG Doll

Description:This listing is for a beautiful German turned shoulder head doll who measures 20" tall, 1880+. Incised on the back of her bisque shoulder head is "1123 7 Made in Germany 7". Reference tells me Alt Beck Gottschalk is the German maker of this mold. This doll is a turned bisque shoulder head with kid leather body, the lower legs are cloth. Her lower bisque arms have all fingers intact. Her upper arms have been re-covered sometime in her past, someone did a good job. A "s...weet" face with stationary open blue glass eyes, painted black lashes around her eyes, brown eye brows, she has open mouth with upper teeth and wonderful blush on her "perfect" face. I flashed around her bisque head, looked under the wig and do not see any cracks or hairlines. Blonde mohair wig is secure on a pate on her head, a few hairs out of place, may have been cut at one time, her bangs a bit uneven, I do not know her history. Doll wears two piece gown with snaps down the front of the jacket and snaps at the waist band. A little large at the waist, you may wish to do a little sewing restore. She wears a under top, stockings and cream color boots with buttons down each side. She is missing pantaloons and a slip. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
