ALL ITEMS SHIP WITHIN 3 BUS. DAYS OF PAYMENT!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~19TH CENTURY STOURBRIDGE HISTORICAL REVIVAL VESSEL~~IF YOU LIKE AN ITEM PLEASE WATCH IT!  I OFTEN SEND PRIVATE DEAL OFFERS TO MY WATCHERS !
This piece was most likely made in the Stourbridge area of England in the 1850's or so.  It is made in the Historistmus, or Historical Revival style as on homage to Medieval Glass which was made in the Middle Ages.
I am calling it a ...vessel because it could be used as a vase or as a drinking cup.  It reminds me of some Viking pieces.  The piece is pulled at the top giving a sort of spider web shaped rim, it is threaded in two sections, and it has 4 applied rigoree arching handles.  Each large handle has scalloped shell shapes and then another layer of rig is added at the base of the rig which goes up further and arches again to just under the rim.  There are small separate pieces of this wavy rig at the base.
The foot is an applied scalloped shape that looks like a flower from the underside.  This awesome piece was incredibly hard to make as the design is so complicated and there is so much applied glass.  The vessel measures just over 6" high, is 4" wide at top point to point, just over 5" at widest across the handles, the narrowest part of the neck is 1 1/2" wide, the bulb is 3 1/4" wide without the rig, the base is 4" wide at two smallest loops and the base is 2 7/8" at widest.
It has no makers marks.  This piece is in Super Condition!  It has no chips, cracks or flea bites!  There is a small (about an inch) section of threading missing at the very bottom thread next to the handle.
~~I ONLY ACCEPT PAYPAL~~Payment is due within 3 days of purchase, please.
