Offering for your bidding pleasure is an adorable 6 1/2" antique German bisque character baby. Incised ~142 5/0 ~. Possibly attributed to ~ Hertel Schwab & Co.~ .Kestner as well is attributed to this mold number. Solid dome head with molded and painted light brown hair. Facial features make him look a little sad. Brown painted intaglio eyes, chubby cheeks, open closed mouth showing the tip of his tongue and a cute double chin. He is jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips. Bent lim...bed baby legs with dimpled knees. Minute surface chip on the neck edge, a tiny paint loss spot on his hair and a very faint white mark on the bottom of his left cheek are his only blemishes. No hairlines or repairs to the bisque.
