Vintage FASHION QUEEN Barbie Doll W/Earlier Barbie - Only Bod (R) ☆MATTEL, JAPAN☆

Up for auction is a Vintage Barbie consisting of an original Fashion Queen Barbie head that I married with an earlier (1961) Barbie-only body. Authentication of the body is via the markings on the doll's right buttock. After the "Barbie" name is an "R" in superscript. Right foot is incised vertically: "JAPAN."
All flaws are mentioned in the "Condition" section above.
The auction sale includes the chic ensemble that my VFQ is wearing. In her outfit, only the following elements are... Mattel vintage-Barbie: her After Five (#934) dress; black elbow gloves (hole in thumb area, left glove [doll's left]); the HTF satin coat from White Magic (#1607) (pink-stained collar; needs gentle ironing; missing loop for faux-"diamond" catch); and white Pak panties from Floral Petticoat -- great elastic on the panties for this early Barbie bod's impossibly narrow waist). I do believe my Barbie's "mink" stole to be faux. I don't want to make a "fur pas."
The soles of her black OT shoes are unmarked. They fit her well while her sexy backseam pantyhose in black are on her. The shoes are quite nice, with a slight rubbery feel.
The "pearl"-headed straight pins -- one in her chapeau, the other in her stole -- also will remain with the doll, but I recommend that the new caretaker replace them with regular straight pins or Barbie-scale hat pins. They're out there, perhaps becoming as rare as Barbie-scale bobby pins.

Also going to the winning bidder is the nice, two-part (for adjusting) black doll stand, marked "Kaiser Chicago" on the underside of its base.
