This brass microscope by "R. & J. Beck Ltd." is I believe, the "Star" model.There are no cracks or chips to the brass that I can find, however, there are the usual scuffs, marks and scratches, mainly to base, that you expect from a well used item of this age.Unfortunately, the drawertube mechanism doesn't move up and down, the teeth from the from the wheel don't engage. The fine focus wheel appears to be working.The back is marked "R. & J. Beck Ltd., London., 20082".The objective is m...arked "R & J Beck, 1 In", the eypiece is present.
