Here is a really nice Rookwood Pottery production paperweight of a rook or crow in a curdled matte brown glaze. It measures 4 1/2 inches from beak to tail, 2 1/2 inches wide, and about 2 7/8 inches tall. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws. Marks include the RP die-stamped mark, XXIV for 1924, and shape number 1623. A beautiful figural example of Rookwood's production art pottery.
