A white ironstone pitcher by J&G Meakin, Hanley, England. 11 1/2" h. Ca. 1880's rounded, ribbed shape with foliate design elements on the handle. Note the cute little flower next to the bottom handle attachment (handle tag). Marked on bottom as shown.
The inside edge of the base rim on the bottom of the pitcher has a smooth, slightly indented area that may have been roughness or a chip which was ground down. See 6th picture at the... 2 o'clock position. Minor superficial abrasions present from occasional handling. Otherwise, no chips, cracks, repairs, staining or crazing.
