Original Description:
Being offered is a nice old antique African sickle sword of the Azande.  This sword measures 30” when measured in a straight line from the top of the handle to the outer curve at the top of the blade.  The handle is wood, with an old split to one side, that has been wrapped in copper strips.  Probably done to secure the handle.  The long curving blade shows some simple line decoration in spots.  Cool looking sword.  Most probably dates to the mid 20th ce...ntury.  Please e-mail with any questions.  Please view my other auctions for a great variety of swords, daggers and tribal art.
