Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at an early and somewhat rare 1940's era Turner model C-1 desk stand made of aluminum with it's original satin chrome scheme. It's light weight and very practical for all small, medium and few larger microphones of it's time. It' a universal thread as well so it will fit any American and most foreign screw on microphones. This stand is highly desirable and I am asked for them all the time but... never have any for sale. The style was a very modern look for it's time that really sets itself apart from other Electro Voice 423 stand stand at that time. The C-1 model has softer lines and a touch of elegance. If you are looking for something rare and nice you won't want to let this one get away. It's one of my favorite designs and looks particularly nice with certain styles of microphone. As you can see in the pics provided the stand shows typical signs of wear. Some lite pitting and a few scratches. The 4 original rubber feet are in excellent condition and they do a great job to keep the stand from scratching any surface it might sit on. The stand is appx 7 1/4 inches tall X 4 3/4 inches wide.
