Original Description:
Salvaged from a damaged bodice of the 19th century.  It is handmade/stitched and does have age-inherent flaws, i.e., silk thread weakness throughout, splits at bottom fold of ruffle in areas as shown in last photo (when opened up fully)....crisp cotton base on underside.  Very old and gorgeous shade of plum purple.  Great for restoration projects in which one wishes for authenticity of the Victorian era....great patina....from my personal collection.  
This measu...res approximately 26" along top edge - 39.5" along bottom edge x 2.5".

This is being sold "AS IS".... for one who appreciates...gorgeous silk with a great aged patina.
