Stunning 1927 Capt Charles Lindbergh Aeronautical Chamber Of Commerce Bronze medal! This is a massive 9 ounce plaque medal. It is about 3.5 long by 2.5. It is solid bronze and rim marked Robbin Co Attleboro. This bronze was custom produced for the Aeronautical Chamber of Commerce of America and one solid gold example was produced and given to lindbergh himself. I can only imagine that these were given to members or members who donated for the larger gold medal. They are very rare and i... assume even at the time were very expesnive to have produced. I cannot seem to find any number on how many exist. This really is a stunning motif on the front with the latin saying Per Astra Ad Astra which means "Through Hardship to the Stars" a popular latin phrase. This is a must have for a collector of early aviation history! Dont miss your chance to own this rare and extremely desirable piece of american and aeronautical history! This could be the center piece of any collection.
