Up for auction is a great looking hollow, Premier Grade Drake Redhead made by the Mason decoy company of Detroit, ca. 1905. This is part of Mason's earlier production as evidenced by the "snakey" form of the neck. The decoy body and bill have been repainted while the head is mostly original paint with some minor in-painting to even out the wear. The body seam is tight and is has its original German glass eyes and Mason oval lead weight on the bottom. This is just a gr...eat looking, highest grade Mason factory decoy that is sure to enhance any collector's shelf. Measures 14” long; 5-1/2” wide; and 6-1/2” tall.
