A hardback three volume complete set of The History and Antiquities of the City of York, from its Origin to the Present Times by Francis Drake (not directly credited but there is a note that since the original work (History of York, 1736) is out of print and expensive, this book has been prepared from it), printed by A Ward, York, in 1785.
The books have been rebound, somewhat amateurishly but they are sturdy. The pages are worn and well read, and the fold out illustrations have so...me wear - this is generally a good reading copy of this classic work.
