Original Description:
Trantow LA 892-A.  Morley Cypress Company was in business from 1907 to 1925.  In addition to cypress, the company cut ash, cottonwood, and tupelo; producing crossties, furniture and dimension stock, lath, and shingles.  The firm utilized a band saw and planing mill, each with a daily capacity of sixty thousand board feet.  A twenty-five mile railroad brought logs to the mill.  The company also operated their own saloon prior to Prohibition.Extinct.  Eight ...miles west-southwest of Port Allen.  The post office was in service from 1907 to 1925.
