Book Condition and Description.Book is in good condition, leather scuffed and marked on all extremities, some corne...rs worn, endpapers cracked and foxing on prelims and endpapers. Occasional page stain of old floral or leaf pressing.
Nice gilt text block edges, five raised ribs on spine with gilt titles in second panel.
Text set out in triple columns with lined borders.
Large heavy complete volume.
Scarcer early Collins dictionary.
The Household Dictionary of the English Language: Etymological, derivative, explanatory, pronouncing, and synonymous. Founded on the labours of Johnson, Walker, Webster, Worcester, and other distinguished lexicographers with numerous important additions, and an appendix containing vocabulary of foreign words and phrases, glossary of Scottish words, classic mythology, prefixes and affixes, abbreviations, arbitrary signs, etc. with an introduction on the History of the English LanguagePlease take a look at all the photo's as they give you a more detailed view of the condition.

I know that the pictures do not usually do justice to the books.It's also a fact that a lot of my old books were from very smokey homes and they still retain that "smoked" smell, I thought I would mention that as my place of work is smoke free.
