This stunning "Golden Mermaid" was sculpted in 2010 by the wonderful California artist, Jennifer Sutherland. This lovely creature is sculpted from a mix of polymer clays over a wire armature, then painted and blushed to create varying skin tones. She is equivalent to a 9-10" sculpt.
The mermaid's beautiful facial features are all hand painted. She has luxurious multitonal blonde braids made of mohair, blue eyes, and cream-colored tail blushed with peach and sparkling with gold... glitter. Her fantasy film fins are a soft iridescent mint green. The base of her tail is accented with a goldtone medallion from which a length of goldtone chain winds through her tail. She sports a tiny tattoo on her left shoulder.
The base for the mermaid is constructed from a large resin shell sitting on a pedestal base accented by carvings of seahorses and inset with tile pieces. The mermaid sits on a raised pool of bright blue "water" accented with bubbles and tiny shells. The base (across the shell) measures 10 1/2 " wide, and the mermaid on her base measures 13" tall.
This beautiful mermaid is in excellent condition and has been kept behind glass in a smoke-free home.
Golden Mermaid comes with certificate from the artist.
