Door of Hope Doll with Bound Feet. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Exquisite antique Circa 1900 Door of Hope Doll with Rare Bounded Feet with original clothing measuring approximately 6" in height.
Positives: Extremely rare with beautiful original ornate features. Beautifully clothed in a light blue green like silk jacket. Fully dressed in its original undergarments with nothing torn. Made with a pearwood body .The attention to detail is incredible fr...om it's face, hands and feet.The hands, feet and head are in excellent condition with no defects or blemishes. Everything is 100% original and the hands and the rest of the body is in excellent condition with nothing broken or damaged.Negatives: A few spots of minor soiling and spots on the left and right arm silk jacket and most likely due to some type of exposure to the elements( look at photo 10 & 11 for reference) . Has a bald spot on the crown of the head. Also has some minor frailing on the front bottom left side of the silk coat .Some faded areas of color to the silk jacket due to typical age related exposure.
Overall a really rare beautiful example with important historical significance.
Side note: I was going to take additional pictures of the undergarments but I was concerned about damaging the straps that hold the jacket together. Though they are sturdy and functional, I really didn't want to chance damaging the jacket in anyway but if you would like some additional pictures? I will gladly send you some pictures asap..
