This vintage brass apothecary mortar and pestle is still shiny with some light tarnish (see photos). The mortar measures approximately 3 3/4" high, 3 3/4" wide at the top and 2 1/4" wide at the bottom. The handles extend approx. 3/4" out on each side. It is stamped "Hong Kong" on the bottom. The pestle measures approximately 6 1/2" long and 1 1/2" in diameter on the ends.The mortar and pestle together weighs 1 lb. 13 oz. Please note that I do not know the exact age of this it...em. Judging by it's condition It appears to have been displayed rather than used.
