Antique Early 19thc Mist Type White Stoneware Vase-Chetham and Woolley c1810 (from the Alan Jones Collection) Nelson Commemorative. Wonderful white stoneware vase withchocolate-brown slip and white sprig reliefs including Nelson and Howe The vase measures 6 inches high, is 5 inchesacross the top, and 3.25 inches across the base. Lovely crisp well modelled sprig reliefs. The Mist Type vase is not marked but isattributed to Chetham an...d Woolley. Similar vases can be seen in “Stoneware”1774-1830 by Diana Edwards and Rodney Hampson page155 and in Chetham andWoolley Stonewares 1793-1821 by Colin Wyman The condition is very good with just the vasehaving a couple f patches of restoration on the rim.A wonderful Chetham and Woolley vaseand in spite of patches of restoration it displays very well indeed.
