This is a World War II U.S. Airborne Officer’s overseas cap that is in good condition. It is constructed of enlisted quality OD brown wool and piped with officer’s black and gold piping. Sewn to the right front is an Officer’s para/glider cap patch that has been applied by machine stitching. In the center of the upper part of this side is a small moth hole that is not overly distracting. The other side of the cap has several moth holes scattered around. The interior is lined with... OD green satin material and with a green herringbone twill cotton sweatband. Accompanying this hat is the 1982 North Carolina expired driver’s license of the original owner that was tucked down the side flap when purchased. The cap is without markings or tags and is an approximate size 6⅞. Despite the moth damage, the cap remains in good condition. 5556
