Antique19th Staffordshire Porcelain Figure of a Black & White Poodle c1835. Ex Dennis Rice Collection. Super early 19thc porcelain figure of aparti- colour poodle 3.25 inches high on a base 2.5 inches x 2 inches. The poodle has large black patches; it sitson a cushion base with tassels and edged with a continuous gilt line. The condition is good with just a tinypatches of paint loss and a very fine hair line in the left front leg.&nbs...p; The poodle has the most sweet and delightfulexpression with a little black patch on the lip. The photos are part of the description soplease assess carefully. This exact dog can be seen in “DOGS INENGLISH PORCELAIN” of the 19thc by DENNIS RICE who states “Parti-colour poodlesare rare” see page 68 colour plate 97.
