Antique 19th StaffordshirePorcelain Figure of a Black Spotted Poodle c1835. Possibly SamuelAlcock Ex Dennis Rice Collection. Super early 19thc porcelain figure of a parti-colour poodle 3.5 inches high on a base 2.5 inches x 2 inches. The poodle has black patches; it sits on a royalblue cushion base with white tassels and edged with a gilt line. The condition is good with just a tiny patchesof paint loss. The poodlehas the mos...t sweet and delightful expression. The photos are part of the description so pleaseassess carefully. This exact dog can be seen in “DOGS IN ENGLISHPORCELAIN” of the 19thc by DENNIS RICE who states “Parti-colour poodles arerare” see page 74 colour plate 114.
