Up for sale is this rare antique 1616 vellum bound copy of Pindar's victory odes which contains In Olympiis, In Pythiis, In Nemeis, and In Isthmiis. The book is overall in good condition with some minor signs of age and wear. It is a fairly thick volume. The text of the book is written in Latin & Greek. The vellum covers have some minor wear. There is an interior crack to the binding by the title page with a narrow gutter gap, but the binding of the boo...k is still good and strong. The interior is toned from age with some occasional foxing. There are a small amount of pages with some period underlining in olive green ink. There is a small spot of worming to the back inside cover and last few pages. There are some notations in fountain pen and pencil to the front endpapers. Along with that there may be very occasional page with some kind of other small imperfection such as a creased page corner, small tear, minor chip, light wrinkle, minor spot of soiling/grubbiness, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. Please look at the photos to further note the condition and message me with any questions you might have. Thanks!
