This necklace is just stunning – I believe it to be inspired by Antonio Pineda’s early zig-zag style necklace. It is OLD - has been in the family since the 1950s. This piece is made from 970 silver-- a higher purity than regular 925 sterling silver-- this necklace is substantial, and you can feel it – it weighs more than 7 oz!

Each link is solid silver with a raised center line and outward radiating points. Links are strung on two parallel fine link chains and there is a box tongue with ball push button clasp. Inside dimension is 16".Links range in length from the shortest at 11/16" in the back to the longest at 1 9/16" in the center. Piece is fully hallmarked with Los Ballesteros mark, style number MM34, Taxco Mexico, and 970.
Piece is in very good condition. All links are intact, clasp works great. There is a little space in the length of the connecting chains but I believe this is to allow the piece to contour to the neck of the wearer without being too tight or stiff.
