An antique Volkstedt German porcelain hand-painted figurine of a classical woman holding a book. Finely painted details on the face and clothing. The figurine measures approximately 1.5" across at the base and 4.75" high. There are some small spots of rubbing to the paint. No chips, cracks, or repairs were observed. Marked with a Volkstedt hallmark from the late 19th century under the glaze.
