This royal blue taffeta Cissy tagged cocktail dress #2017 was manufactured for the 20"-21" hard plastic Cissy doll by Madame Alexander in 1956. This royal blue dress with a drop waist, cap sleeves, and gathered bust remains in sturdy and bright condition though very wrinkled. Other flaws include a tiny hole on the front lower right skirt area just above the hemline and small threadbare spotting on the right back bodice area to the right of the second snap closure and above.... The taffeta also sustains areas of light soiling, more notably on its left interior bodice area, along its right front and backside bodice area, and along its lower left front skirt area. The four snap enclosures remain intact. Seams may require a stitch or two, while stray threads may need snipping. Not included with this ensemble are the black velvet bolero with tie and the floral bandeau with veil. Undergarments, heels, and accessories are also missing. Though not perfect and in need of some restoration, this dress still remains bright and sturdy. Its royal blue color is harder to find. What 1950's glamour and nostalgia! Iconic Cissy!
