This is a rare opportunity for someone to own an original, vintage photograph of Hollywood icon, MARILYN MONROE, owned previously by Frieda Hull, a member of the famed "Monroe 6." The Monroe 6 were a group of 6 kids who followed Marilyn around and photographed her during her time in New York in the mid-'50s and ultimately became friends with her. The photograph was acquired through Julien's Auctions, November 17, 2016, where Frieda Hull's collection was auctioned off after her passing.... I've attached a screenshot showing my win from the Julien's auction and the provenance from Frieda Hull's collection.
This auction is for an original, vintage 8x10 silver gelatin photograph of MARILYN MONROE with co-stars Richard Widmark, Verna Felton and Don Beddoe in a scene still from the 1952 film, "Don't Bother to Knock." It is an original National Screen Service Corp. print, distributed to theaters for display purposes. The image is clear with great gloss but it has been trimmed. The top white border has been trimmed off. Besides the trimming, it's in very nice condition with only modest handling wear to the edges/corners. The trimming is reflected in the low starting bid. The reverse is blank.
Shipping and handling is $5.08 for domestic shipping and $35.60 for international as international packages must be sent priority to provide tracking. Additional photos ship free.
