Original Description:
This used dual band HT has separate VFOs with volume & squelch knobs for each band.  TX Freq range 144-147.995MHz and 438-449.995MHz (wider range for receive). TX 2.5w on 7.2 battery pack & 5w with 12v battery pack.  Paging function, dual watch, tone squelch, cross band repeater operation. Neither of the 2 included rechargeable packs work but can be rebuilt.  The most I can get from the 12v NiMh pack after charging is about 10v so it probably has a dead cell.&nbs...p; The AA pack works and powers the radio with the included Alkaline batteries.  The aftermarket charger puts out about 24v unloaded.  I tested the radio and it transmits & receives on both bands.  If left for long periods without a battery, it may lose memory and require reset.  It may need a new internal battery.  The simple reset procedure is in the manual.  The battery latch is stuck and doesn't impede install & removal of battery but there's enough friction to hold the battery in place. Sold as-is.
