A nice 9 volume collection of Sir Walter Scott's Waverley novels in a brown 3/4 leather binding. Because Scott did not publicly acknowledge authorship until 1827, the series takes its name from Waverley, the first novel of the series released in 1814. This edition is later and by the publication date of this collection it was known Scott was the author of the novels.
