17 " Unknown Antique Cloth Felt Lenci Style Doll With Papier - Mache Face

DESCRIPTION:This auction is for a 17" tall Lenci "Style" doll in organdy dress, 1920+. Doll has a paper-mach face, the back of her head is cloth/felt like her body. It is paper-mache to the ears and then cloth, half cloth and half paper-mache. Doll is inner disc jointed at the shoulders and hips with all fingers intact. Two fingers on both the left and right hands are together, see photos, a trait of Lenci and some Lenci type dolls. A "beautiful" face with lots of "line crazing crack l...ines", see close up, but together intact. She has oil painted brown eyes looking to the side, white accent dot to the side of each pupil, slightly brush stroked brown eye brows, she has painted molded lips and rose color blush on her face. Her mohair wig quite unique that it is stitched on her head in a few places, may need a little styling but old and charming. Dress has flowers applied, buttons down the back, unfortunately "melting" throughout the front and sleeves, you may wish to do a little restoration to your liking if possible. There is a matching bonnet that has one ribbon tie mostly gone. She also is wearing undies, socks and felt shoes. This doll is quite lovely even with her "imperfections". Enjoy her as she is or go for some restoration, she would be a Treasure for collection or display! I have taken plenty of photos, please look at my photos to serve as part of this description.
