Antique 19th Minton Parian Figure of DOROTHEA John BellSculpt. C1854 Super 19thc Minton ParianFigure of Dorothea standing 14 inches tall. The figurewas originally made for Summerly`s Art manufacture and registered on 4thOctober 1847. It was alsomade for the Art Union of London. Theoriginal life-sized marble sculpture can be seen in Bowood House Wiltshire. Dorothea isa subject from Don Quixote. This model of Dorothea is of excellent fineq...uality Parian and with fine crisp detail. The condition is very good with just severalfiring imperfections. This apart is without chips, cracks or restoration. Bearingthe moulded applied reliefs for Felix Summerly and John Bell and theregistration diamond.
