Vintage 1940s ivory slipper satin wedding gown that has a lovely heavy weight that flows beautifully. This gown has long sleeves with slight points and snap closures, a dropped waist with pointed design, beaded bow embroidery that covers the entire bodice, long full skirt with a train, and back button closures. There is a way to bustle the gown in the back to pull up the train. (sorry I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it, but there are loops there!) Perfect for a winter w...edding!

condition: great condition - the only area is a very slight spot on the back of the dress but I honestly don't find it noticeable unless you look for it. There are several spots on the underneath of the dress, but they aren't noticeable when worn and wouldn't show when bustled either.

✦ SIZING - Vintage clothing sizing does not reflect modern standards. When determining size, make sure you account for enough room to move comfortably. Additionally, vintage clothing is more fragile and should be worn with this in mind. Occasionally there are seam allowances or darts that can be removed, as well as tailors that can alter a vintage item to fit your particular shape.
When determining size I recommend measuring the following:
HIPS: measure around the fullest part of your hips.
BUST: measure over the fullest part of your bust while wearing a bra.
WAIST: measure around the smallest point of your natural waistline.
SHOULDER TO WAIST: measure from the very top of your shoulder - where the seam would lie, down the front, over the bust, to your waistline.
LENGTH: measure from the top of your shoulder, down the front, and to the point where the hem would be. Inseam measurements for pants would be measured from the inside of the leg at the very top of the groin, down to the hem.
